Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma  hit south Florida in 2005.  This album will show some of the preparation and damage.  I can only remember one time that we had more then one storm in a season.  In the late 40's we had two hit us a month apart.  In the 60's we had direct hits in Key Largo in two seasons but only 9 months apart.  In the keys we lost 36 full grown native trees.  The second storm came before the damage of the first storm was repaired.  I did it myself and a large chain saw.  Back then I could burn the trees.  One fire lasted 11 days.  This past year Wilma hit us in Key Largo.  There has been no rain down there since the storm.  We are seeing many trees die from drought.
